Woodwinked

Hey everyone,

I have been a terrible blogger this past week! First I was ill and then our internet totally broke. So today I decided to make it up to you all by doing my first tutorial!

I recently bought a book by Rae Morris and have decided to work my way through it re-creating the looks she has done my way. So the first look I'm trying is called Bronze Eyes. When I think bronze.. I think Woodwinked :)
Sorry for the rubbish quality of the pictures.. all I have right now is my phone!

So the colours I'm using are:

Woodwinked
Cork
Brown Down
Brule
Phloof!

So step-by-step:

Prep your eye with Painterly Paint Pot. Brush it all over the lid up to the brow and on the lower lid. Blend the edges into your foundation with your fingertip.

Apply Indianwood Paint Pot to your entire lid.

Apply eyeshadow in Woodwinked over the base you have created with Indianwood.

Blend the hard edge of the shadow on the lid up to the brow bone using eyeshadow in Cork.

Apply eyeshadow in Brown Down into your crease, this can be as subtle or as bold as you like. I had work today so I didn't want to go overboard. Then apply eyeshadow in Brule to your brow bone as a highlight, also use this to blend out the Cork eyeshadow.

Apply eyeshadow in Phloof! to the inner corner of your eye and sweep upwards along the line of the eye socket, then apply the same shadow on your lower lid along the lash line. Line your upper lash line with black liquid eyeliner.

Next use a brown eye pencil (I used Teddy Eye Kohl) to line your waterline, then smudge into the roots of your lower lashes.

At this point, either apply false lashes and mascara, or just use mascara alone. I was short on time this morning so I just layered up my Plush Lash. Then line your brows, I used Lingering Brow Pencil. And the look is complete!

A few pictures of the final look (excuse the quality and the horrendous lighting!!):

That's all for now! Hope you all enjoyed.. be sure to blog your pics if you give this a go and send me a link :) I'd love to see! As always, comments/critiques welcome!

xoxo
