OPI Ogre-The-Top-Blue NOTD

So on my last trip down to the mall in America I came across the last few bottles of the OPI Shrek Collection in Trade Secret. There were all such lovely colours and I had seen a few people wearing them across the blogosphere and I had to have them. I decided the cheapest way to get them was to buy the set of mini's and then the two remaning full sizes separately. They had Ogre-The-Top-Blue and the mini's set but Funkey Donkey was out of stock :( I've tracked it down on the net and it's on it's way to completing my collection though! These are my first OPI polishes and so far I'm adoring them. I've had the Base Coat, Chip Proof and Top Coat for a while and I can't fault them so I've been waiting to find a collection I love to try them out. I'm very attached to Models Own, but OPI hasn't disappointed me!

 OPI Ogre-The-Top-Blue

I applied this last Tuesday, and I've purposely waited this long to take the photograph. The tip-wear, which is predominantly from my excessive typing, is so minimal it's a bit ridiculous it's been almost 10 days and I have minimal tip wear and absolutely no chipping.

I also got a little bored the other day and decided to experiment with the Bedazzle Nail Art Nailene sent to me :)

I used the Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Diamond Top Coat, because I didn't have my OPI one with me, to keep the jewels in place, but it went a bit bubbly when combined with the glue from the jewels. I'm going to try my OPI one next time and see if it works a little better!

What's your favourite colour polish right now?

Nailene Goodies!

So last week I won a runner up prize in Nailene's Giveaway :) I was super excited because where I live in England my local stores have a shocking selection and I have to buy a lot of my Nailene products from beauty sellers on eBay, which I would really prefer not to do. As a runner up I won 5 products which were sent to me in this adorable little bag:

It did get a little bit crushed in shipping, the box it was in was dented in the same place, but no matter, the products were intact and that's all that matters.

I couldn't have asked for a better set of goodies, Nailene really know how to dole out the variety!

My entry for the giveaway featured a set of Couture Falsies and I absolutely love the safari design they have sent me! I recently purchased a Hard Candy Eye Set that features a safari pattern so I'll have to think about pairing them up!

I also recieved a Perfect Toes Set that includes Nail Art to use with the nails. I love that they have included this in the set because it may encourage someone who wouldn't normally try nail art to give it a go! Since I have trouble with my toes from dancing I can't use these myself, so one of you lucky ladies will be recieving these in my giveaway!

If I'm wearing falsies that I want to paint, 200s are the ones I always turn to! They look super natural and I can't fault their sturdiness. They hold paint better than my own natural nails and I rarely see chips. Plus, I've never had one break on me!

While I'm not very good at it, I do love nail art and I can't wait to get practicing with this gorgeous set!

Finally, I also recieved one of the best inventions ever. If you don't own these and you're doing frenchies, you should. End of. They save you so much time and come out perfect every time.

Nailene were also kind enough to include a cuticle stick, an extra glue, an extra nail file and some little diamante nail jewels.

I love all of these products and can't wait to delve into them!

Thank you Nailene!

NOTD: Nailene Couture

These are my favourite Nailene Full Covers I have ever tried! I just love the design and they just look so perfect!!

I'm sorry the photo isn't brilliant! My camera is playing up and refusing to go into the proper 'mode' for close up shots!!

I adore Nailene Nails in general, I've never once had a chip or break and with the level of typing and general 'hands-on' work I do, this is pertty amazing! Nailene have so many designs to choose from, they are just one of those brands where the really is something for everyone. The 200 nail packs are amazing for finding the right size for your own nails, but even the smaller packs, which can have anywhere from 12-18 different sizes, contain enough variety to give anyone and everyone gorgeous.

I personally find painting my nails fairly difficult, I'm not the most neat and co-ordinated in that area so I takes me hours to do one coat. But I can apply a full set of Nailene falsies in about 10 minutes (plus there's zero polish drying time, the glue literally takes 20-30 seconds to go rock hard!!). Who wants to sit in a salon for an hour and pay £40 for something you can do yourself for just over a fiver? Not me. Though occasionally I do enjoy the pampering, I don't have the time or cash on a regular basis! Plus the Couture Nails just make me feel extra special!!

I find these sets last about 6-8 days, it really depends on your activity and the growth rate of your nails. I do like this because it presents me with the opportunity to have a new design and colour. I've never had another brand last as long while staying in top notch condition, a sure sign of the quality of Nailene products. Nailene are the definition of good value when you pitch the quality against the price; it seems too good to be true, but it isn't!

If you'd like to see more of Nailene, check out www.nailene.com to see a full list of offerings! If you've never tried false nails before, it's a great way to start! And if you're a seasoned professional, try out more designs and keep your nails looking fresh!
